Barely a week after the Lagos State Government sought compulsory psychiatric test for rape and other domestic violence offenders in the country, one Magbatie Emmanuel has been arrested for allegedly defiling an 18-month-old baby girl in Owutu axis of Ikorodu area of the state.
Emmanuel, a 47-year-old artisan, who resides in the same building as the victim’s parents, allegedly defiled the girl at the weekend.
The mother of the victim narrated to the police that on the 5th of August, her daughter went to play in the suspect’s room as usual, but she was shocked to meet the suspect fingering the 18 month old baby when she went to pick her up.
The mother, on discovering this, was said to have rushed her to Ikorodu General Hospital and a day after, to Mirabel Centre at Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, Ikeja, for test, Vanguard is reporting.
The suspect who blamed his action on the devil has since been charged to court.
He should be killed, a slow painful death at that. I don’t even understand how people think anymore. This is just so disgusting.
