A Saudi man was arrested for shooting a male gynaecologist all because he assisted his wife during delivery.
He shot the gynaecologist because he believes he had no right to assist his wife’s delivery and that a woman gynecologist should have done that.
Dr Muhannad Al Zabn, who has a Jordanian father and a Saudi mother, delivered the baby one month ago at the King Fahad Medical City in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
According to Saudi news site Sabq on Thursday, May 26, the man went to the hospital where he deceived the doctor to believe that he wanted to thank him for helping his wife with the delivery of the baby. They met in the garden of the hospital and during the conversation; the shooter took out a gun and fired at the doctor.
The doctor was later rushed to the intensive care unit while the shooter was arrested by the police.
Bassam Al Buraikan, the spokesperson for the hospital confirmed the incident, saying that a doctor was shot and that his condition was now stable.

Please learn how to separate culture from religion. This doctor was Jordanian and was practicing on Saudi Arabia. He is well aware of the customs, culture, etc. He was delivering the baby and the man became jealous. It is as simple as that. Nothing along religious lines.
