Somebody please help me. I am really close with my big cousin and we have always had a connection. I am 15 and he is 17 and we have quite a big family so there is quite a lot of family get-togethers.

I wrote this because of the assertion that you don’t need to confess to anyone. Genuine confession is that sin which you made open to another. The Holy book commanded us to. Make open confession for total healing. You don’t make assertions without biblical backing if you are a Christian. This is why the Catholic church restricted the confession to priests not because they forgive sin but because it is necessary to unburden your heart to someone who will not use it against you. The priest prays with you for the absolution of your sin. ONLY GOD FORGIVES. What she has even done on social media is a bigger open confession and now she will have piece of mind and it will be difficult for her to go back to it

New Testament does not teach that there are to
be priests in the New Covenant. Instead, the

priests. First Peter 2:5-9 describes believers as a “holy priesthood” and a “royal priesthood.” Revelation 1:6 and 5:10 both describe believers as “a kingdom of priests.” In the Old Covenant,
