The Niger Delta Avengers in the early hours of today blew up two major oil wells located at Dibi in Warri South Westlocal government area of Delta State. The oil wells are Well RMP 23 and RMP 24 belonging to Chevron Nigeria Limited.
Claiming responsibility for the attack, the Niger Delta Avengers on its twitter handle @NDAvengers on Wednesday morning, said: “With the heavy presence of 100 gunboats, 4 warships and jet bombers, NDA blew up Chevron Oil Well RMP 23 and RMP 24, 3:44AM this morning.
“This is to show the whole world that the Nigeria military is good in harassing innocent Nigerians.”
My brother I’m a full member of that part. Born n raised n schooled there. Presently working there. The problem of Niger delta is not a PMB orchestrated , take note of that first. ND started even before u n I were born.
Blowing up oil wells n pipe line, we are the ones suffering the damages. Our lands n waters are being damaged.
Our federal allocation drops n u know our governors here in ND only perform with federal allocation.
From the beginning some of our people sold us out for small amount.
Today we are suffering it n now blaming PMB.
Tomorrow these fighters will get amnesty, their generals will be compensated with oil wells n contracts.
After that we return to same old story…later another group will emerge.
The question I ask is why are oil wells in ND being owned by mostly northerners?
Why are companies who drill our oil having their HQ in Lagos n abuja?
We should get answers to these questions then better days will be in sight.
