A Saudi man was arrested for shooting a male gynaecologist all because he assisted his wife during delivery.
He shot the gynaecologist because he believes he had no right to assist his wife’s delivery and that a woman gynecologist should have done that.
Dr Muhannad Al Zabn, who has a Jordanian father and a Saudi mother, delivered the baby one month ago at the King Fahad Medical City in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
According to Saudi news site Sabq on Thursday, May 26, the man went to the hospital where he deceived the doctor to believe that he wanted to thank him for helping his wife with the delivery of the baby. They met in the garden of the hospital and during the conversation; the shooter took out a gun and fired at the doctor.
The doctor was later rushed to the intensive care unit while the shooter was arrested by the police.
Bassam Al Buraikan, the spokesperson for the hospital confirmed the incident, saying that a doctor was shot and that his condition was now stable.

Jenkins Ewere am also living in Dubai, i know that they are so protective when it comes to women and it you have been here long enough, you must know how laws favor all women not only emaratis , u can see that in the train, malls and so many other places, at least of all arabs, Emaratis are the best coz here u do what u like. Being protective towards their women doesn’t make them goats.

I don’t see anything wrong with a male doctor helping one to deliver. My daughter was delivered by a male gynaecologist and the nurse that cleaned me up was a male as well. So what’s the big deal here? If it was wrong for men to help women deliver then why do medical schools allow men to train as gynaecologists. Men with such mentality are still backward and it’s a pity
