Nigeria’s diverse actress, Mercy Johnson Okojie was born August 28, 1984 into the family of a former naval officer; Mr Daniel & Mrs Elizabeth Johnson.
She is an indigene of Okene in Kogi State.
She shot to stardom in 2004 when she starred in the movie The Maid. Mercy’s outstanding performance in the movie paved the way for her into getting more roles. In 2009, she won the African Film Award for best supporting Actress and in March 2013, she won the best actress at Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
MJ, as she is fondly called by fans, got married on the 27th of August, 2011 to Prince Odianosen Okojie and they were blessed with Purity Osebhajimente Okojie on December 30, 2012.
