Ex-Super Eagles captain Vincent Enyeama has been named the best goalkeeper in the French Ligue 1.

Enyeama has been impressive for Lille this season with 14 clean sheets so far in 31 league appearances.

With a total of 79 saves, the 33-year-old was included in the Ligue 1 team of the season.

The goalkeeper took his Instagram to thank his family, teammates, coaches and fans as he received the recognition.

Enyeama has also been named among the top 10 goalkeepers in world football.

According to a ranking done by Swiss CIES Football Observatory, Enyeama is the sixth best goalkeeper in the world.

CIES Football Observatory took into account the number of goals conceded per match, number of minutes per goal, number of passes per match, number of saves per match, number of saves per goal conceded and the percentage of saves for the ranking.
