Photos: Survivors & Bodies Of Students Who Died In A Fatal Accident Arrive Kano For Burial

Bodies of 8 persons who lost their lives in an accident yesterday along Lagos – Ibadan Express way while on a mission to represent Kano in the National Quiz Competition in Lagos, arrived Kano this evening. The students and bodies were received at Kano International Airport by the State Governor, Dr.Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and other state officials. More photos after the cut…
Information available indicated that 3 students of Unity School Karaye and 3 from Kano Kapital as well as a driver and coordinator of competition lost their lives in the accident. A total of 8 persons lost their lives: 6 students and two officials while 5 students sustained some degree of injuries.

  28. Yeah, it is better to fly dead bodies than living beings. We value them more now that they are dead but when they are alive, they are some inconsequential items. That’s the one Nigeria we live in. I would have been a history by now in one of my travels to Kaduna State when one of the Izuchukwu buses l was traveling in tried to crash while trying to avoid the Fulanis and their cattle. The menaces of the Fulanis and their herds did not start today only that Nigerians ignored them and did not take charge in time. Nigerians ignored them before because, they carry bows and arrows then and have not been killing and destroying farms to the present magnitude.
